About Momentix
Who we are
Momentix is an independent collection of free online calculators. It started with a simple frustration: most calculator sites give you a number but never tell you how it was worked out, which makes it hard to trust, check or reuse. So every Momentix tool shows the formula, walks through the steps with your own numbers, and adds a worked example you can verify by hand.
The tools cover everyday questions people search for all the time – how old someone will be on a certain date, how many business days are left before a deadline, what a discount really did to a price, how long a savings goal will take, or what score is needed on a final exam.
What we believe in
A useful calculator should be correct first, then fast, then clear. That shapes how every page is built:
- Accuracy: each calculation is covered by automated tests, including edge cases such as leap days, midnight shifts, zero and negative values, and 100% discounts.
- Transparency: results come with the formula, the steps and the assumptions made, so you can see exactly what the number means.
- Privacy: calculations run in your browser. You are not asked to sign up, and the numbers you type are not stored on our servers.
- Accessibility: pages are designed to work on phones as well as desktops, with clear labels, readable contrast and keyboard-friendly controls.
How tools are built and checked
Each calculator starts with a published, standard formula – for example the amortisation formula for loans or the calendar-month method for ages. The calculation is written as separate, testable code, compared against hand-worked examples and reference values from sources such as GOV.UK and the NHS, and only then is the page built around it.
The written guidance on every page – what the tool is, how it works and the FAQs – is written and checked to be plain, specific and honest about limits. Results are estimates for planning and learning, not financial, legal, tax or medical advice, and astrology content is offered for reflection and entertainment.
About the founder
Momentix is built and maintained by Muhammad Ahad Noor. Each calculator is checked against hand-worked examples and figures from named public sources – GOV.UK, the NHS and HMRC, where relevant – before it is published, and the guidance text is edited for clarity and honesty about what a result does and does not tell you.
Momentix is not a bank, an accountancy firm or a professional astrologer. The tools are designed to help you understand your numbers and plan, and limitations are stated clearly where a result is only an estimate. If you spot a mistake, please get in touch – corrections are made quickly.
Tools on Momentix today
Alongside the calculators, Momentix offers a second family of tools that run entirely in your browser: an invoice generator, an image compressor, resizer and format converters, a QR code generator and reader, a notes maker and a Google Fonts preview tool. They follow the same rules – free, fast and private – and you can find them all on the All Tools page.
Twelve of the calculators can also be used outside the site: embed them on your own page with two lines of HTML (see /embed), or call the same formulas through a free read-only JSON API described at /openapi.json. Both are free and need no sign-up.
