Privacy Policy

Summary

Momentix ("we", "us") provides free online calculators. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the site. In short: the numbers, dates and names you type into a calculator, and the images, text, invoices and notes you use in our other tools, are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers or stored by us.

Who controls this data

Momentix is operated by Muhammad Ahad Noor (“the data controller” under GDPR, where it applies). Contact details are at the bottom of this page and on the Contact page.

Information we do not collect

We do not require an account or registration. We do not ask for, and do not store, the values you enter into calculators – such as birth details, loan amounts, salaries or grades – or the files, images, invoices and notes you create with our tools.

Information processed by third parties

Some features rely on external services that receive standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) when your browser connects to them:

• Hosting and delivery: the site is served through Vercel, which may log requests for security and performance for a limited period before the logs are discarded.
• Fonts: the main typeface is served from our own website. The Font Preview Tool, Notes Maker and Invoice Generator load the fonts you choose from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), so your browser sends your IP address and browser type to Google when you use them.
• Photographs: illustrative photos on tool pages are hosted on our own server, not loaded from Unsplash or any other third party, so no extra request is made when they load.
• Camera: the QR Code Reader can use your camera if you allow it. The video is processed on your device and is never recorded or uploaded.
• City search: the Sun, Moon & Rising calculator sends only the city text you type to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to find coordinates and a time zone.
• Shared links: if you copy a share link (for example from the Age Calculator), the dates you chose become part of that link.

How long we keep information

We do not store the values you enter into calculators at all, so there is nothing to retain or delete for those. Contact-form messages are kept for up to 24 months, or longer only if needed to resolve an ongoing issue, and are then deleted. Your cookie choice and any in-progress Invoice Generator or Notes Maker draft are stored only in your own browser and are kept until you clear them or clear your browser data.

Information stored on your device

The Invoice Generator and the Notes Maker save your current draft in your browser's local storage so you can come back to it. This draft stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is removed when you use "Reset all" or clear the site data in your browser. We also store your cookie choice in the same way.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and similar storage that are needed to run the site, plus those set by third-party services described here. See our Cookie Policy for details and for how to control cookies in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to collect aggregated information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, so we can see which tools are useful and improve the site. Analytics cookies are only set once you allow them in the cookie banner, and we do not use analytics to identify you personally.

Advertising

We intend to display advertising provided by Google AdSense in order to keep the calculators free; it is not live yet. Once it is, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this and other websites. Google and its partners, including Google ad technology such as the Google Marketing Platform, use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You will be able to opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or www.aboutads.info. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Advertising and analytics cookies stay off until you choose to allow them in the consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. Where required by law, including in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we rely on your consent before non-essential cookies are used and before personalised ads are shown, through a consent process that meets Google's requirements for those regions.

Contact messages

If you write to us through the contact form or email, we receive the name, email address and message you send. We use them only to reply, to keep a record of the request and to improve the site. Messages sent through the form are delivered by an email service provider.

Legal bases and international transfers

Where GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and advertising, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for essential technical processing. Our providers (such as Vercel and Google) may process data outside your country; where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, to object to certain processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not keep the data you enter into calculators, most requests will relate only to information you send us directly, such as a message you send through our contact form. Children

Momentix is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
